We are pretty much self insured. We have HDHP with an annual deductible of $5,000. Given that we are healthy people we never come close to meeting the deductible. If I stay self-employed and Obamacare insurance exchanges kick in I may up the deductible up to $10,000 given that, in theory (or at least from what I understand), we can jump to a lower deductible or other type of health insurance without being turned down."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.
