    I need a humor upgrade

    Any ideas?

    Will someone fix "Remedies" in the title for me.

    post edit: For some of you late to the party, this thread title once said "Best Cold Chest Remedies".

              A cold chest shouldn't be fixed. Just leave it alone and enjoy.

                  My wife would expect me to offer a chest massage as a method to relieve chest congestion. It wouldn't help her at all, but it WOULD help ME breathe faster...

                      Tylenol #3 helps with cough.

                      There is weak evidence to suggest flovent might help for bronchitis.

                      I prescribe robitussin AC, I think the syrup works better.

                      For sinus congestion, evidence shows that nasal lavage is effective (netti pot).

                      Antibiotics...don't help.

                      In prevention, there is strong evidence to suggest probiotics. Also, twice daily warm water gargle has been shown to be effective in prevention. I tell all my patients to eat a cup of yogurt and gargle after they brush their teeth (assuming they have teeth).
