  • Whats the most you've spent on sunglasses?

Went to SGH outlet last night with the wife where they had a deal buy one get one free.

I found some damaged Versace glasses with a sticker price of 650 for 100, wife found some Prada shades with a sticker price of 350 for eighty so we walked out paying fifty bucks a pair which is the most Ive ever paid for recreational goggles.

I usually buy the fakeys for ten smacks. I'm sure folks like DHole, falafel, DDD have dropped a small fortune to look cool.

I purchased several Ray Ban Wayfarer back in the day when they were about $50/pair. That was considered rather pricey in '86.

I tried some RBs on, they looked weird on my face and were over 150, no thanks.

Oakley used to be a client..they are based in Foothill ranch. I never paid full price for those. In fact, I purchased almost everything on a steep discount and have done so for CBers in the past.

I wasn't a fan of the 70s revival of reflective glamour sunglasses, so I never bothered to buy a single pair. In fact, contrary to your statement, I don't think those sunglasses look cool, I think they look silly. Moreso on men, women can wear whatever they want.

The price these days is far too much for a pair of Wayfarers. I like the look, but not that much.

I've bought one pair of sunglasses in my life for $2.

I'm currently looking for new ones, for about the same price.

The more I look at them the more I think I'm going to look like a tool wearing them.

Plus I think $650 had to have been wrong, I can't find them anywhere online for more than $420.

Now I feel like a chump.

Those fashion shades for men have already been co-opted by guidos, collar poppers, Ed hardy fanboys, the Persian Mafia, and goofy vegas tourists shopping at ceasars palace.

Only guys with insane wardrobes and REALLY nice cars could pull it off. they still look like tools, but at least they have the game to back it up.

Persian mafia. LOL. I have a hard time distinguishing those guys from the Guidos. I love the A|X shirts and belts, Rock and Repubic jeans, and elf shoes. I always wonder how they can afford their clothing selling Dead Sea Bath Salts at the mall.

I have some Oakley Gascans, or something similarly named, that look like those Surfah.

                            I think they are cool.

I bought some YSL's in the Bellagio a few years ago after I won big, mainly so I could spit the Kanye lyric. They were about 300. I've never liked Oakley's. I have 3-4 pairs of Zeal's which are my fave. They are around 60 I think.
