The website shows two different aTm plates available--but I think you're correct about TCU."Seriously, is there a bigger high on the whole face of the earth than eating a salad?"--SeattleUte
"The only Ute to cause even half the nationwide hysteria of Jimmermania was Ted Bundy."--TripletDaddy
This is a tough, NYC broad, a doctor who deals with bleeding organs, dying people and testicles on a regular basis without crying."--oxcoug

Also, UGA and Arkansas are on the website.Originally posted by Lost_Student View PostFrom that website, the following out-of-Texas license plates are already available:
Auburn
KSU
Bama
OSU
Nebraska
OU
BYU would definitely be the outlier there. I like that."Seriously, is there a bigger high on the whole face of the earth than eating a salad?"--SeattleUte

The Old North State allows you to request special collegiate plates and when they get a certain number of requests, they'll offer the plate. It's a low number and I'm surprised BYU isn't offered. They have Purdue, GA Tech, Florida and a few others. And of course, a lot of NASCAR plates.
NC PlatesI have nothing else to say at this time.

I saw on this BYU Yahoo group that Virginia will sell them as well if they can get 350 prepaid orders. I know a guy is trying to round up some people Haddow has already put in for 10 each one of his Bentleys. Surfah or UD either of you interested in picking one up for the school you grew up cheering for?*Banned*

I'd definitely be in for one. They're only $25. You just need someone to sponsor it and get the 350 pre-paid plates. If you know who is facilitating this let me know. I am sure someone has the ball rolling somewhere. Virginia has a million specialized plates. They have community college plates.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI saw on this BYU Yahoo group that Virginia will sell them as well if they can get 350 prepaid orders. Actually, the answer is yes. But even then, given the current political situation, there are currently no plans to issue BYU/Duke of the West-themed license plates in the next few months. Total bummer.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View Posti think this is simply more evidence of BYU's national/global fanbase dictating to the free market.
I wouldnt be surprised to read a myboynoah report of similar developments in Tokyo. Do japanese bikes have license plates?
That hasn't stopped us from representing.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I like the example for Texas plates that just don't make sense:Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostI got mine but Texas is now considering to pulling back on some of these?

I also like the comment: "Or maybe I've just lived in Texas long enough to develop an irrational hatred for OU. Ten weeks seems about right."
FTR, I've never seen one of these plates.

You live in Austin. What do you expect? They would string someone for less than that.Originally posted by Babs View PostI like the example for Texas plates that just don't make sense:

I have seen them up this way. Of course, I only live about 50 miles from Occupied North Texas."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

The first thing I did to my BYU plate here in Utah was to take a Blue Sharpie and color the big red "Utah" on the top of the plate.Originally posted by Babs View PostI like the example for Texas plates that just don't make sense:

I like that idea. Mine is still red. I might go a step further and put a sticker over the word Utah and replace it with "B Y U"Originally posted by kccougar View PostThe first thing I did to my BYU plate here in Utah was to take a Blue Sharpie and color the big red "Utah" on the top of the plate.

My BYU plate is actually not official - I made my own Oval Y plate before they were made available by the DMV. All the special edition plates are the same except for the sticker they put on the left side and across the bottom. I purchased the cougar-on-BYU plate, and I was tempted to ask the clerk just to leave the stickers off so I could put my own on, but I didn't think she'd go for that. So as soon as I had the plate in hand, I sat down in a chair at the DMV, pulled the cougar sticker off and replaced it with an Oval Y sticker that I had made at the local mall vinyl sticker kiosk. Four months later the DMV started offering the Oval Y.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI like that idea. Mine is still red. The new car I bought on Monday will be sporting an official Oval Y plate."It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12. To lose to Utah State is horrible." - John White IV
