Has anybody had any experience with the LeapFrog/Leapster learning gaming things for their kids? Our oldest is turning 4 next month, one of his friends got one for Christmas and our boy seemed to enjoy playing with it. He also loves playing with the iPhone/iPad and its games. Looking for any recommendations/feedback if anybodys children have played with that, how long they last, how good the games are for their learning, etc. TIA.

Make him a gamertag and start him off on Black Ops. He will learn everything he needs to playing online.

I have a 6 year old who has had one for a year or two. She doesn't play it a ton, but it does get used. It hasn't made her a genius, but it is better than playing with my iPhone (which she does a lot more). She will sometimes use it on car rides as well. It's not a bad thing to get, I think.Comment

My daughter got one for her 4th birthday and she digs it. We got her some headphones and she plugs them in and plays with it. I'd say a few days a week she pulls it out. Had one issue with it where the touchscreen stopped working. Googled a reset solution and it took care of it. Other than that it's been great. My daughter got one last year for Christmas and she plays it all the time. This christmas we just bought her a new game and she really likes it. Every car ride she takes it and sometimes she just sits around the house playing it. We had to get her rechargeable batteries because they wear out so quick.*Banned*Comment

I have four kids ranging in ages from 12 to 1, we've had both the Leapster and the Leapster 2, and they've always been quite good. They can't replace a human teaching them ABC's and 123's, but they are a very good reinforcement tool. My kids always seemed to pick up and remember them well.Comment
