Which sport benefits most from big screen t.v.?

I'm not necessarily talking about the HD aspect of the new big, flat screens but the overall experience. As some of you know, I recently joined you all in the 21st century and bought and LCD (just 47" but it's huge to us). I am in that new user stage where I can sit and watch just about anything right now because it looks so nice. Romanian outdoor tetherball championships anyone?

In the couple of weeks I've had this new luxury, I've decided that the sport that most benefits from the new picture is soccer. I feel like I'm seeing 2 or 3 players that didn't even show up on my old screens because of the edges. On our old 32" 400 pound t.v.'s we couldn't even read the first and last few letters of text on the screen, and scrolling tickers at the bottom of a picture were half missing or worse. I think all sports benefit greatly from the new set-ups, but like I said, for now I'd rate soccer first. I'd put basketball 2nd and football 3rd. Football zooms in a lot more than the others it seems and so the edges don't always matter as much. I'd like to see a broadcast for football where the camera stayed wide the whole game. I think that could be very revealing.

So, am I high? Is the only difference that everyone is bigger? Who knows. But it really does look like I'm seeing more.

Based on limited viewing of the sport, I would probably say hockey.

          I would say Hockey also

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

I haven't seen any hockey yet. I'm going to have to give it a shot.

We have had ours for a year now and whenever I flip pas golf, I end up pausing there and saying to Gabers "damn this looks cool." I don't care at all for watching golf on tv.
