    Old email addresses

    I come across aol email addresses from time to time and it mildly surprises me. For all I know aol may still have a web-based email service like gmail, hotmail or yahoo.

    But the other day somebody gave me their email address that was with earthlink.net.

    Earthlink? I asked this person if instead they meant prodigy or compuserve. Nope, earthlink.
    Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

      I created my [hbox]@byu.edu email address around 2000. I haven't used it regularly since I graduated from law school in 2006, but I still had it forwarding to my gmail account since then. I know at least one or two of my relatives use that address sometimes.

      This is the email I received just yesterday--I guess they're going to take away my address.

      The email alias above is not compliant with the current policy regarding email aliases at Brigham Young University and will not function after January 1, 2011. The @byu.edu address domain is reserved for current employees of the university. Although you may not have created the alias, or currently own the alias, your email address is listed as a forwarding address. This message is to inform all the recipients of messages sent to this email alias of the upcoming deactivation. The owner of the alias listed above does not qualify for the @byu.edu alias. For details of the policy, go to it.byu.edu > service catalog > email > email alias manager.

      In the past, we have not consistently cleaned up the @byu.edu domain of terminated aliases, though there have been some targeted efforts from time to time. Apparently this alias has escaped any earlier scrutiny. We now are regulating the @byu.edu domain on a regular basis, and intend to ensure that it is utilized by those who qualify.

      Students were allowed to create @byu.edu email aliases for a period of time between the years 1999 and 2004. During this same period, the @byu.net domain space was created to provide students an email alias that would persist after a student graduated from the university. The @byu.net domain will remain as the Alumni Office has intended, and those who qualify are welcome to maintain up to two email aliases there. Details surrounding the @byu.net domain can be found at the Alumni website by going to alumni.byu.edu > About > Benefits > Email Forwarding.

          we had yahoo internet which changed to SBC which changed to AT&T One of my old email addresses is still ___@sbcglobal.net
