Wow, this is certainly an amazing accomplishment. For some of our resident hard-core athletes, can you imagine doing something like this? Do you have the fortitude and will to see it through? I wonder if Archaea would ever give something like this a go?

That is quite an amazing feat. I have swam 2 miles and that was a long ways. I can't even think about swimming that far. I was glad to see her swimming in a protective net trailing behind a boat. Those are some shark infested waters.

This still wouldn't be enough of a challenge for Arch. Arch would try doing the butterfly stroke all the way with out stopping.

Honestly I can't imagine the physical and mental toll this would take. I went three miles one time and my mind was all over the place.

The nice thing about this update is that it makes the accomplishment much more accessible to the everyman.

Well, I guess MORE accessible, although I don't see myself swimming the 250 miles she did any time soon.

I feel a little embarrassed that I didn't catch this. Being a math geek, I usually crunch the numbers on these kinds of things. I just sort of glossed over the time period in the original article.

I'm REALLY embarrassed for those who broke the original story.
