The price for one haircut for a woman = The price of several haircuts for a man over the same period of time...

They should give me a discount. They only have to do half the work
The local barbershop I go to charges $11Last edited by happyone; 10-20-2010, 06:32 AM.
I may be small, but I'm slow.
A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

I voted other with Tim in mind. He seems like a man who doesn't mind spending a bit to pamper himself.
I, on the other hand, am actually quite cheap when it comes to haircuts. In fact, I've been known to go without them for up to a year at a time. When I am in short-hair mode I frequent Great Clips, because they run a monthly $6 haircut coupon (regularly $13). After a $4 tip, I'm out the door for $10.
It helps that the Great Clips near my house has two people who cut my hair well. One is a very homely lady who looks like she doesn't even style her hair. The other is a gay latino guy who does almost as good a job as the homely lady (though he gets a bit fauxhawkish if I don't remind him not to). There are a few very attractive ladies who cut hair at this same place, but none of them do as good a job as these two. The receptionist always seems surprised when I request the homely chick or the gay guy, because I think most guys request the hot chicks. Personally, I prefer the long term benefits of a better haircut over the short-lived benefits of the hot stylist.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I usually spend about $25 (incl. tip), but I always walk by this place and might try it out someday, especially with the manicure thrown in for $10 more:

When I lived in LA I used to go to a place in Fairfax. $72 for the cut and style, $20 tip for stylist, and $5 tip for the shampoo boy.
When I moved to Utah, I found you can get the same haircut (minus the style blow out) for $12 with a $5 tip.

I haven't paid for a haircut in 15 years."The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

$10,000.00 I put my wife through hair school and I think she has cut my hair once. I usually just shave it myself.*Banned*

For me!Originally posted by Babs View PostFor a guy? I hate to break it to you, Soup, but those places aren't charging for the haircuts...
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

Does Tim have hair? (No offense, Tim, but if I recall from your pictures, your noggin is rather smooth and shiny.)Originally posted by Donuthole View PostI voted other with Tim in mind. He seems like a man who doesn't mind spending a bit to pamper himself.

I have paid for exactly one hair cut in 22 years. I had a job interview and my wife was in Germany. I had no choice...
My wife started cutting mine as soon as we got married - I told her that if she didn't cut it, I'd cut it myself and she'd have to live with the consequences.
She wasn't very good at it at first. I really didn't care. Now she's got it down pretty well.
My sons - 19 & 17 have never had a haircut from anyone other than frau doctor mom...
