Costume help needed

I almost put this in The Gym, but I don't think that good ideas are limited to running crazies.

I am running the Walt Disney World marathon in January, as I've said elsewhere. It is common to wear costumes at this event.

My wife and I are trying to come up with ideas. Here is what we have so far:

1. Peter Pan (use a running skirt/dress and make a few modifications, add running tights and a hat).

2. Mr. Incredible (red running tights/top, speedo, logos).

3. Custom-designed lightning McQueen jersey (95, bolt, rusteeze, in red).

4. The holy grail - Tron (white tights/top, piezoelectric glowing wire, hockey helmet, legendary status among nerd runners everywhere).

Any additional thoughts? I don't mind cross dressing in the sense of using women's clothing for the outfit but I won't dress as a female character (Peter Pan is pushing it) as it's a family park. Also, keep in mind I have to run 26.2 miles in the costume, preferable at a decent rate of speed.

Since it's January and heat/humidity won't be a problem, a fully body lycra Tron outfit should work just fine. I felt great after the end of the Century, as evidenced by my beamish countenance here at the finish:



That said, in honor of the recently deceased Fess Parker, and with nostalgic fondness for my coonskin cap from the '50s which I still possess, I'd seriously consider running as Davy Crockett. Cap, a light vest, and maybe a powder horn containing an energy beverage, with my iPod set to "Davy, Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier...", I'd be stylin'.

That said, in honor of the recently deceased Fess Parker, and with nostalgic fondness for my coonskin cap from the '50s which I still possess, I'd seriously consider running as Davy Crockett. Cap, a light vest, and maybe a powder horn containing an energy beverage, with my iPod set to "Davy, Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier...", I'd be stylin'.

That's a thought. I already have a powder horn, albeit currently filled with powder.

Re the full body suit of Lycra, even in January I run in shorts and sleeveless except in the worst cold. I warm up very quickly. On my last marathon, it was probably about 35 at the start. I ditched my jacket before mile 1, my gloves shortly thereafter.
