    No Chain Restaurants

I'm not sure if this should be here on in the Diner, but an interesting article in USA Today. Springdale, Ut wants to ban all chain restaurants to preserve its uniqueness.

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

Pleasanton California is pretty much that way in the downtown area.

Craig Ferguson captured the feeling on Main Street in his monologue a few years ago. I especially like the Starbucks comment about five minutes into it.
