The guy in the video really grasps the concept of gifting: "Gifting is a one way gift."

I'm sure I had the lesson in primary, but it never really clicked until just now.

I was in Sacramento once and met and hung out with a couple that had just gotten back from Burning Man. They both talked about the concept of gifting -- of course they were talking about it in the context of him gifting his wife over to strangers they had met there. Either way, it's still a sound Christian principle.

Just attended a wedding and twice in the ceremony the officiant reiterated, "She is NOT your property."

The official, in all his years of living, probably has yet to make it to BM.
