    Guilty Sports Pleasure

Dang, I LOVE the Little League baseball playoffs -- even more than the MLB playoffs.

Anyone else have an intense relationship with a not-so-common sport/sporting event?

The LLWS is on in primetime on ESPN. I'd say it's quite mainstream.

I watched multiple women's hockey games during the Winter Olympics, and I saw the US Womens soccer team play in Rice-Eccles 5 years ago.

I'm not quite sure why that holds such interest for you -- unless you have zero interest in the MLB playoffs and therefore any interest in the LLWS is more than zero.

I really enjoy Aussie Rules, but it's virtually impossible to see it on TV (unless you subscribe to Setanta, which I'm not willing to do).

Right after I got done with Little League, my town started entering the tournament.

I would have loved to have had the opportunity to play. Dhahran has been in the tournament almost every year.

When I was 12 we played Long Beach in the championship winner went to the Little league World Series. We got smoked, Sean Burroughs was sick as was Tony Gwynn Jr. Both on the same team.

During the Giants game the other night I saw that Napa (we played them growing up) beat Washington County in St. George to advance to the championship for the right to go the Little League World Series.
