I've gotta say the white Y cheerleader outfits are probably some of my favorite in all of sports. I need to figure out how get my wife one of those.

We just bought one for our daughter at the BYU bookstore. They should have them online. And they are not modest. My daughters shoulders are exposed when she wears it.

I wasn't disappointed in the bare shoulders, shocking though they may be, but rather that they don't have a replica of the current byu uniform with the new retro Y logo. That outdated bYu logo is really really lame. I think we'll go with UNC outfits for both our girls.

Just as a swimsuit is used as a uniform for swimming, the cheer uniform is used for cheering.

That it was from 2005 is all the more reason to laugh. Only five years ago students at BYU were questioning/complaining about the modesty of a cheer outfit. Are they disappointed in the gymnasts' uniforms too? What about the swim team? I think those speedos the guys wear are a little too form fitting. Like I said, you can't make this stuff up.

The white sweater that the USC cheerleaders wear is the best thing out there and normally I'm not a big fan of modesty but these are very modest.

The gymnastics coach at BYU told me they get lots of letters complaining about the girls outfits. He said a letter sent to one girl who had very long legs had the poor girl in tears. I guess she was called some unattractive names.

I would have so much respect for BYU if they made a general announcement to all the ultra mullah fans to F-off.
