Awesome that you're there to witness that. Are they voting on a draft of a constitution? or on whether or not to have one?

Yeah there's a draft constitution being voted on. Implementation will be tricky, but the Yes camp is hoping for an overwhelming result so there's more of a mandate to get it installed asap. Last I heard, the Yeses were winning like 65 to 20, although the No camp insists that all those polls are fraudulent.

Of all my posts on this forum, that's the one that gives you that impression? I'm happy to point to some posts where one could rightfully get that impression, but the one you quoted had nothing. Perhaps you meant to quote the previous one where I referred to the qualms of the Christian leadership as troglodytian?

Very early returns (.5% or so) are showing that No is leading about 60/40. It seems at least some outlets have decided to stop showing early results out of fear that they'll cause violence. Hopefully those results aren't typical.

There have been a lot of rumors that American Republicans have been funding the No campaign (not sure if it's true), so No winning is probably the worst case scenario for a white dude.

Early reports must have been erroneous, as the tide shifted quickly. With almost 1/3 of polling places reporting, Yes leads 63-33.

Hooray! Also, the new election committee is doing a bang-up job. Results aren't even this fast in the States.

I think it's cool that Heavenly Father burried all those dinosaur bones when he created the earth so people like woot can be entertained. Sounds like you're having a good time, stay safe.

Agreed! I thank him every night for it.

With results coming this fast, if there's no violence overnight it seems like tomorrow should be business as usual. Big step forward for Kenya.
