I had to attend a hearing that the other guy didn't even show up for. The $1,000 bench warrant I got for him helped alleviate the pain in my backside though.

I'm with falafel. I love driving out of the area for a hearing. It is hard to go anywhere where the drive isn't pretty and my client is paying me to roll up the road. Only thing better is hiking up a mountain to look at a right of way to eye ball it.Comment

Don't get me wrong, it was good--my butt just isn't made to plant itself in a car for six hours a day. I also need to remember to get a book on tape...or an M3. Next time I go, I'll also be sure to ask what places or restaurants I should check out (Vernal has to have some good food, right?). I can always bill for my time at lunch if I make it a "working" lunch.
One thing I did notice was that Roosevelt, or one of those other small towns I drove through, had a working drive-in theater. I've never been to one, and I think it would be cool to go to one someday.Not that, sickos.Comment
