I think this would be a good gun:

Who doesn't like chocolate? Pull out this baby and a violent attacker will become your new best friend. Problem solved.

Anyway, that is my two cents. It really doesn't matter what you shoot if you hit what you are shooting at.
I'm not big on hand guns, but that Taurus The Judge looks like it could be fun. About how much is that gun?

The "john" was destroyed, and the national hamburger chain is feeling the loss. "By all accounts, it was a good toilet; reliable and well liked by customers and crew members alike," wrote Brad Haley, executive vice president of Carl's Jr. marketing, in a tongue-in-cheek note posted on the company's Facebook page.

"It seems only fitting to have a formal service to let everyone say goodbye to such a critical member of our team that was in very close contact with the public each and every day," Haley eulogized. "Our thoughts go out to the surviving men's room urinal and porcelain sink. We only hope that the new toilet can fill the void left by its predecessor, but so far it hasn't made much of a splash."

Employees at the restaurant, 385 N. 800 West, will hand out bottles of Kaboom® Bowl Blaster toilet cleaner to the first 50 funeral attendees, he said, as "it was the toilet's favorite."

I think a 9mm would be a good one. I'd suggest you take your wife to a range where she could find out which caliber she feels more comfortable using.

I agree, it's whatever she likes and is comfortable with. There's alot of great compact guns out there. I dig a compact .38 - I'm old school I guess.

Not compact I know, but I still think nothing beats a good S&W .357 Mag (you can find alot of great used model 66's out there fairly cheaply), or a Colt 1911 .45 ACP.

I think a 9mm would be a great caliber for your wife. It's available in several different models and styles and the ammo is relatively cheap so you can practice quite a bit. The Beretta 92 series 9mm are so nice. Go to a gun shop, Sportsman's Warehouse or something akin and pick up and hold a bunch of different guns. Most of these people are extremely helpful and can direct you to several options that will work. I have held several 9mm and the Beretta feels great in the hand, like it just fits. I have some pretty large mitts too. And that gun felt better than the Sig, Glock, S&W, etc.

I "pulled the trigger" on a handgun purchase yesterday. Smith & Wesson 637. It's a .38 snub nose. Very small and light.

All about 1911 pistols. With schematics, expert advice for ammo and accessories and historical articles all about the iconic firearm.

I was originally going to get a .357, but Cabela's didnt have anything in my price range that also had on-gun locking mechanism.

I got a box of .38 +P ammo, which they tell me brings it closer to a .357 for stopping power.

The guys at Cabelas were commenting on how crazy gun sales have been since Obama was elected. There were tons of people there buying guns, it was packed.

I had read somewhere, and I am looking to find the link, that there have been estimates of 4.1 million firearms sold since the election based on Back Ground Checks. That was three weeks ago or so.
