Did anyone else see her crying and think she could of done better. I mean, it looked horrible. No real emotions in that scene.. Even the look of shock was not real.. I think she needed to do a better job of reaching her inner pains for that..

I watched part of that hearing yesterday. Her lawyer really had nothing to work with. She was trying to argue that Lindsay had done well "over all" though she agreed that she was in violation and tried to blame the program she had been put into. It seemed very clearly to me that either the lawyer didn't know what she was doing (not likely) or that she was saying what her client wanted her to say if she ever wanted to be hired again. I would imagine she has zero control or Lindsay or her expectations.

The smart thing to be arguing, IMHO, would be "look Judge, everyone here knows she messed up, everyone knows she has been a problem, everyone knows she has been far from a perfect probationer and everyone knows she is going to be have to go to jail for it. But keep in mind that she has done a few things right, and more importantly, that she has never been to jail before. I understand that the court is out of patience with her but suggest that an incremental approach to punishment is what the court normally does and ought to do here."

I think by not even acknowledging where the judge was going to go she pissed her off even more. She should have gotten on that page right away and made it about how much time is appropriate. Instead she lets the prosecutor and the judge beat up on her client for being in denial. Again, defense counsel may have had no choice but I hope she at least told Lilo about the risks of going forward that way. 90 day is a long sentence when it is your first trip to jail on a violation. Do any of you CA lawyers know how much of that she will actually serve with good behavior? I know where I am it would be half.

That calculation is based on factors that include credit for good behavior and crowd levels when she shows up for jail.

Actually, 2-3 weeks in the poke ain't that bad. Seems appropriate.
