    Anyone want a dog?

So, I make myself a life threatening sandwich that I call "the awesome sandwich". It's my variation of a BLT:

    lettuce
    tomato
    as much bacon as possible
    tons of Swiss cheese
    mayo
    toasted wheat bread

I set it on the table and turn my back just for an instant to grab a Coke from the fridge and what happens? The lab jumps up, grabs the sandwich in her mouth and bolts out the door.

Just like that, it was gone. My perfect creation eaten by the dog. Stupid bitch.

Sure, I could make another sandwich, but the last of the Swiss cheese was used for this one.

    AAARRRGGGHH!!!

Sounds like you aren't feeding her enough. It's your fault, really.

Oh no. She gets plenty to eat. But you are correct that it's my fault in that I should have grabbed the Coke before I made the sandwich.

I'd take her to the high school and make her run laps if I didn't think she'd have fun.

I'd love to take her off your hands but the only dog my wife will let me have is a Shih Tzu. Allergies or some such nonsense.

Have you heard about people breeding Shih Tzus to Bulldogs?
          I'm your huckleberry.

That is one of the main reasons I could never have an inside dog. The idea of an animal being near the kitchen sends shivers up my spine. I also hate dog hair.

Understood. I'd rather that she was outside, but this is the wife's dog and as the husband in this relationship, I really have no say about things of this matter.

Of course, we keep her well groomed and that really limits the shedding.

I'm sure you do. It's just a weird hangup of mine.

Don't like it. I don't understand the appeal of a cat. I'm just not much of a pet person, though I make no judgments against those who are. Except for my co-workers who tell cat stories. At that point I do render unfair judgment against them.

No worries. People are people. Supposedly.
