Percocet or Lortab?

Are we talking personal use or for slipping to others? I wouldn't choose either of those over Flunitrazepam.

Pain relief is a place where I think we Mo's miss the boat. In terms of good old fashioned anesthesia, nothing numbs pain like Tennessee sour mash and banquets. Not nearly addictive as narcotics and twice as effective...uh, so I've heard.

Percocet facilitated the only religious vision I've ever experienced (it was quite the discussion between Kid Rock and Jeffery Holland). But my numbing preference will always be intravenous fentanyl. Though I'm sure that at 100 times the potency of morphine, it's not available for household use.

I used Percocet when I had some broken ribs a few years ago (the bathroom accident). I found that I needed to take equal doses of Metamucil.

But it worked well enough when taken regularly that I was able to do my breathing exercises and get some sleep (sitting up in a chair). I don't every want to go through something like that again. It took two full months before I could even cough without serious pain.

Neither. Prescription narcotics like those two cause me to suffer horrific hallucinations.

BTW - Lortab makes me dizzy, kinda sick to my stomach, and I sleep horribly when I take it - weird dreams, very restless, etc.

Last night I spent virtually the whole night trying to read a monthly e-mail newsletter from a company that designs wood-burning ovens (fornobravo.com). For whatever reason, I felt like I had to read the newsletter. It was somehow IMPERATIVE - not really sure why. I'd wake up, read for five minutes, fall asleep. Snooze for 10 minutes. Repeat.

Lortab but only because I've became addicted to percoset very quickly following a surgery. Going through withdrawals sucked bigtime. I would caution you to never take percoset unless it's absolutely necessary.

Dude, be real careful. I was on stuff for 18 months. It´s not healthy, and percocet seduces you only to leave you insatiable and miserable when she´s gone.

My favorite for feeling good is Demerol. My favorite for knocking out pain is Dilaudid.

I really suggest you and all not use any of these drugs other than for serious (surgery related) issues and that you limit your use to less than the RX.

I have chronic, debilitating pain (trigeminal neuralgia...look it up). I refuse to take any prescription, addictive pain drugs as it would certainly cause long term problems given the weekly frequency of my pain.

Had a TN scare of my own about a decade ago - bad needle stick at the dentist. Conventional opiate pain killers helped at first, when the pain was like a constant bad toothache, but didn't help at all with a flare-up. Had constant pain for about 2 weeks (out of work) and daily flareups for about a month after that. Finally, I tried something completely unconventional that kinda made sense - my wife's idea. Two pieces of Nicorette gum, chewed a few times to kick start the nicotine flow and I'd stick it way back by my jaw and just hold it there (normally, you're supposed to bite on it once and stick it in your cheek - like you're dipping Skoal). Anyway, nicotine is both a local anesthetic and a vaso-constrictor (really good at the "treatment of bruises"), so it made sense that it MIGHT help, and it seemed to. Flareups got a lot less severe and a lot more infrequent as soon as I started with nicotine. At the time, my wife couldn't find a single reference for using nicotine to treat TN. But it kinda made sense, and I had few other options. I just googled it and still can't find any references for it. It really seemed to do the trick for me...

Sorry about the TN, though. After only two weeks, the pain was bad enough that I was looking into gamma knife (permanently severing the nerve - and losing all sensitivity and motion in half my face), and had tried the carmazepam (sp?). It actually seemed to help, but turned me into a total zombie. It wasn't an option. Luckily, it never came to the gamma knife. It truly is a curse...
