I received a phone call from the county clerk at 9 am this morning while I was on another call. I called back with dread in my heart-wondering if I had messed up a pleading or some such nonsense. She told me it was be nice to lawyers day and that she had chosen me to be nice to.

That was the only highlight on a tough workday today.
