I woke up this morning to my wise-ass son singing...

"colon-o-scopy, is such a lonely word..." (tune: Billy Joel's "Honesty"). I'm pretty sure my wife put him up to it.

All in all, it was much less traumatic than I'd anticipated. The worst was DEFINITELY the "prep" last night - 2 liters of pure, unadulterated evil and the four hours of hell that followed.

All in all, the procedure itself was a non-event. I remember the nurse injecting something into my IV, the doctor asking me to count backwards from 100, and then, instead, me asking if, "I should say cheese?" I didn't get far enough to hear his response.

No lesions, ulcers, perforations, etc. No little colonies of nasty bacteria evident. But colitis is definitely not hard to see on the camera. I have an angry looking descending colon. The upper part looked quite at peace though.

For anyone worried about the colonoscopy you're supposed to get at 50, don't worry. Just get it done. Or rather, as long as they're putting you under, don't worry. Just get it done...

A favor, statman... Can you please put all of the posts about your colon issues into a single thread? I'm not trying to be rude, but there's no need for a new disgusting thread with each new development in the case.

Oh, Tim. You just got kicked in the can by a master.
