That is exactly how I feel, our age difference notwithstanding. Deep down in the dark recesses of my brain, in places I don't talk about at parties, lies an oft-dormant mathematical side that was more than adept at calculus, statistics, economic modeling and even elementary computer programming (mostly BASIC and http). It has grossly atrophied over time due to underuse, but I still feel pretty good about myself when I manage to successfully figure out meaningless math puzzles and/or create a spreadsheet to calculate compound interest on my 401k.

The scary part is when the mathematical side has been running the show for a while. The answer pops in your head immediately. Read the series, immediately know the answer. Then, the part of the brain that has to interact with everything else, asks the mathematical part where the answer came from, and it takes 30 seconds to figure out WHY that is the answer...

Not only the hardest part, but an indication you may just barely be over 120. The rest of us didn't even think about it. We went straight to the calculator.

I'm glad I got this. I was worried the 141 IQ they branded me with in 5th grade was all a lie. Especially since after reading this I've been doubting my own intelligence lately. It was a tense moment there.
