This one was a 6.0 in Eureka, CA again. I felt it as a big jolt and my computer monitor shook for a moment. Otherwise no big deal. I'm sitting in the basement of a 4 story hospital though, probably not where I want to be during the big one.
Earthquake again.

CNN picked it up already. Well, they're linking KTLA. Funny that LA news reports it faster than my local news.

What is my problem? For the second time in a month someone texted me right after it happened, asking if I had felt the tremor. Not even a bit. I guess my head is just on a constant spin cycle, making it hard to notice the smaller shakes.

California Hit With Earthquake Of 6.0 Magnitude
An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.0 struck California's northern San Francisco Bay area early Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The earthquake struck just before 3:30 a.m. about 10 miles northwest of American Canyon, which is about 6 miles southwest of Napa, in California wine country, Leslie Gordon of the U.S. Geological Survey said.
It's the largest earthquake to shake the Bay Area since the 6.9 magnitude Loma Prieta quake in 1989, the USGS said.

It woke me up, but we're at the Tahoe condo so we didn't get much of a shake. We're going home later today and I'll report if our casa has been destroyed.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View Post

My wife reports that our house (which, unlike yours doesn't really wear the appellation 'casa' very well), which is marginally closer to the epicenter than yours, survived with nothing more than shaken, but not stirred, occupants. So I think you'll be OK.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostIt woke me up, but we're at the Tahoe condo so we didn't get much of a shake. Ha, a legitimate shot, but it's the only condo we own, and then only with my sibs. Several here have dined and/or stayed there and they'll be the first to report it's no Hearst Castle.Originally posted by Dwight Schr-ute View PostInferring that there are multiple vacation condos around the world automatically cancels out the humble from any brag.

True. It has more of a Neuschwanstein vibe.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostHa, a legitimate shot, but it's the only condo we own, and then only with my sibs. That was right near my old hood. My grandmas house had some damage but nothing major. I hear Napa is pretty rough, our old stake center took a beating I guess.*Banned*

Just felt a pretty decent tremor here in LV.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
