But, but, the Galaxy Note 7 has a headphone jack...

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Meh. Doesn't every single iPhone outsell the prior one? Of course they are going to outsell androids. Those things are garbage.
New Apple = Old Microsoft. Stranglehold on the market so you start just milking your customers for everything you can. Force them to buy bluetooth or stupid dongles when they don't want or need it.

Yes, you don't have to buy stupid dongles... one comes in the box.

this samsung thing is a mess. telling people to immediately turn off their note 7s? holy cow. and the replacement/refund system sounds like a disaster.

The Note 7 is a disaster for Samsung. The timing couldn't be better for Apple, but I wonder if the Google Pixel XL phone may also benefit.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
I was a life-long (as long as smart phones have had life) android user, but switched to an iphone last year for work. Its been great, but the lack of the headphone jack, and the related complexities, has me considering going back to android.
Now, if there were only a decent android phone.

As long as you use Verizon, the Pixel phone is supposed to be really nice. The Galaxy S7 and LG G5 are also good phones. The problem I have with them is when you go off contract, it's difficult to get the OS and security updates. The Google phone is supposed to get updates directly from Google.
I've likely bought my last Android phone that doesn't come directly from Google. What the carriers and manufacturers do with updates is ridiculous.

I'm on T-Mobile, mainly because I wanted the jump! on demand program so I could switch phones 3 times a year. I haven't used it yet though, because my work has required apple (although that is changing shortly). I had a Samsung GS3, and I really wasn't impressed. However, I do have a Samsung tablet that has been very nice, so perhaps I should give the G7 a look. I hate that plastic home button though.

i dont think I could function without a real back button. I might just jump back to the note 5.
how much is jump on demand? i can never get a straight answer
Not really sure how to answer that... Its basically a lease program. Right now I pay $26/mo for an iPhone 6S 64gb.
