BYU recruited university president applicants and were told to send resume to Merrill when he was PB. He was released as PB and put in as BYU Pres were he served for seven years. This year will be seven for Cecil. Wonder if BYU will get new President and he will be GA. Or they will go off the GA pipeline and call a nonga this time as BYU president?

Too bad we only get a "nay" vote.Originally posted by WashingtonCoug View PostI'll vote for Finderson."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. you don't even get that for BYU president.Originally posted by Eddie Jones View PostToo bad we only get a "nay" vote.Dio perdona tante cose per un’opera di misericordia

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

haha, I guess in theory it could be, but the reality is that there is no way in hell the board of trustees would think of that. After all, most of the church thinks that a woman doing anything professional is in violation with the "Proclamation on the Family." A woman president for BYU? Not a chance.Originally posted by SuperGabers View PostThis is an honest question, I am not being flippant, but could a woman be president? Or does it HAVE to be a GA?
I think GBH established a pattern when he appointed Bateman. That it was reinforced with Samuelson tells me that it will be the future of BYU. Who knows though, maybe Monson will change the pattern and appoint a "normal" Mormon academic.Dio perdona tante cose per un’opera di misericordia
