My "lol." was me thinking about DDD actually owning a ferret. I would be hard-pressed to think of a less suitable pet. Legality aside.
Ferrets stink, too? I thought you could have the musk gland removed or something like that?

oh, well. Sounds like I wasn't put on this earth to own a rodent.

You can, and most people do. However, there is still a musky smell with males until you get rid of the testes (I imagine that's a fun task), which can't be done until at least six months of age for health concerns. And even then the males may still be musky.

Also, if you believe wikipedia, females can die if they don't get their seven year itch scratched at the proper time (so to speak).

Personally? I think it would be cleaner and easier just to have a pig. Smell is probably on the same level. And castration is probably easier (just give me a helper, a knife, and a bottle of rubbing alcohol).
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

          Easy solution, get a log...

How did the thread get this far without someone suggesting this?
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
