    White-out Christmas

    BLIZZARD!! There's currently a three-foot snowdrift in our driveway and the NWS is listing visibility as zero.

    We don't ever get snow in Oklahoma. Ever.

    We don't ever EVER get snow for Christmas.

    And we CERTAINLY don't get blizzards. But we've got one now.

    You remember that 45 mph North wind at the Vegas Bowl? Well, it headed down this way, met up with the gulf air, they hit it off pretty well and had one hell of a baby.

    THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A BLIZZARD WARNING FOR CENTRAL OKLAHOMA IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CST THIS EVENING.

    HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW ARE LIKELY...LOW VISIBILITY AND STRONG WINDS WITH WIND GUSTS OF 45 TO 55 MPH.

      You did once in 1968. It is the only time I saw Ft. Sill closed.

                      hmm. I'll ask my mom if she remembers. Back then she may have thought it was just the LSD, though.

                          It was nasty, It started out as an ice storm and snowed about 12-15 inches on top of the ice.
