Are there really jeans that cost more than $500? I know I just sounded really naïve, but wtf?

There's no way I paid more than $50 for a pair of jeans. The max is somewhere in the $35 to $40 range.

        We're talking jeans here, man.

I'd never paid more than about $40 in the past, but my wife forced me to buy a couple pairs of these new fangled jeans that cost about $90 each.

            Probably 20 bucks.

In high school I paid $125 for a pair of Guess jeans. I think this is the first time I have admitted that publically.

how is this possible? If you have ever purchased a new pair of jeans anywhere...Costco, American Eagle, Gap, wherever....they cost more than $20, no?

Maybe that's why no one's propositioning you for sex.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

The most expensive pair on nordstrom.com is $460. I'm no expert, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are places in major cities that sell $1,000+ jeans.

Actually, the $460 is the most expensive mens jean -- they have a $715 pair for women.

So are these nicer jeans, or the kind of jeans one would rock with an Ed Hardy t?

$80 pair of Guess jeans in 2006. They fit like buttah. I've worn them about once a week for the last 3 years, and they still look like new. In the same amount of time, I've burned through a few pairs of PacSun brand (Bullhead) and Kohl's brand (Urban Up) jeans, with far fewer wears each.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
