1985 Chevy Citation - Same color and trim as this pic. My first car. I tried to destroy that thing, even flipping it on it's side and hitting the ditch so hard that the steel rims bent around the hub caps...it still drove out of the ditch. I hit 3 trees, 2 deer, 2 ditches, and numerous farmer's fields and the thing was unstoppable! Hated it at the time, yet the one with most of the memories.

1990 Ford Ranger XL - black and silver

1991 Nissan Pathfinder XE 4X4 - Same as below except mine had a roof rack and a bush guard. Very adequate in off-road adventures. I once wrote my name in a farmer's field in 1' of snow. It was perfect except I couldn't figure out how to dot the i.

1995 Ford F250 XLT Powerstroke Diesel - same as below except mine is 2WD and has a billet grille. I still drive this beast daily and will continue to do so until the body falls apart around the engine, that still pulls strong. I have 270k miles on it and climbing, while getting 20 mpg.

1992 Honda Civic CX Hatchback - Just like the one below except I had Civic Si wheels. I miss this car. I wish I had it today w/my commute.

2003 Toyota Celica GT - Same exact car as below (purchased not far from Koons Automotive) Wife's car when we got married. I lowered it, blacked out the headlights, tinted windows and de-badged the car.

1997 Ford Explorer XLT AWD - aka Da Exploder - Same as below.

1998 Ford Contour SVT - Same as below except mine didn't have the rear spoiler. Great car, fun to drive, until my wife blew the motor on it.

2005 Scion XB aka The Lunchbox, The Toaster, The XBOX, etc.- Exactly the same as photo w/ the addition of a Thule roof rack (For Sale). Bought this car for my wife when we were expecting the 1st lil' un and knew she couldn't blow the motor on this bad-ass car. This car was a great car that we hated to see go. We were moving across the country and couldn't afford to tow it behind us.

2004 Ford F-150 XLT 4X4 SuperCrew aka The Screw. Same as below. Off-road tires, black low-profile tool box, Line-X bedliner, blacked out headlights, 20% tinited windows, etc. Current ride. Most likely going to be selling this spring in an effort to find a better family vehicle. Looking forward to my next Ford...the Powerstroke Excursion

1990 Nissan Stanza XE with 5 point star Eagle Alloys.

2000 Golf GLS 1.8T. I loved this car. Lots of subtle mods and go fast parts on this car. It was a sleeper and it turned heads when I shifted. I wish I still had it. The only noticeable mod was the 2" drop via H&R cup kit.

1999.5 Ford F-250 XLT 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel SuperCab w/ long bed 4x4. Lots of mods to this one too. I miss leaving people in a black cloud of smoke.

      2008 Mazda5. No mods.

Can anyone tell when Surfah got married?

You forgot to mention the best mod on the Stanza.

I miss that truck! It was so bad ass.

          1965 Mustang. Yellow and rusty.

1986 Toyota Minivan. Silver. I drove this for several months after the Mustang died and before I moved to Utah.

1987 Mazda 626. Brown. I drove this for several months while I was living in Utah before my mission.

1987 Nissan Pickup. Red. This had been my dad's pickup since he bought it new in 1987, but he had finally replaced it right before I got home from the mission (2000). He gave it to me when I was heading back up to Utah after the mission. I drove it for a few months and it had a lot of problems, so I ended up trading it in.

1990 Nissan Pathfinder. Red. I bought this in the late summer of 2000 and drove it until the spring of 2003.

2002 Nissan Xterra. Bright yellow. I drove this from spring of 2003 until spring of 2004.

1997 Nissan Pickup. White. I thought I was going to be losing my internship at Novell so I sold the Xterra and bought something cheaper. Drove this from the spring of 2004 until the summer of 2004, just a few months.

2001 Lexus IS300. Charcoal. Rather than lose my internship, I ended up getting made full-time and my salary doubled. That was nice. So I bought myself a toy in the summer of 2004.

1987 BMW 325i. White. I should use the same picture that kccougar used, since I bought the car from him... but here's a different pic (also not a pic of the actual car, just the same year/model). I bought the car in the fall of 2006 and planned on driving it for a long time. I loved that little car.

2006 Nissan XTerra. Silver. I got rear-ended in front of RC Willey on University Parkway and the BMW was totaled, so I bought the car back from the insurance company and turned around and sold it back to kccougar. Right around the same time I decided I was moving to North Carolina, and I wanted something that I could carry stuff with. I bought this XTerra in the first week of February 2007 and got a sweet deal on it since it was the previous year's model and still sitting on the lot.

2006 BMW 330i. Titanium silver. I bought this in December of 2008, just a few weeks before my company asked me if I wanted to go abroad. My brother now has it in California. He makes a portion of my payment for me. When I come back I'll start driving it again. It's an amazing car!

My first car. 1969 Chevrolet Kinswood Estates wagon. (Mine was gold with woody paneling. Once used to haul my entire sophomore basketball team to a game when the bus didn't show.

1969 Ford Ranger which I also drove in high school. Mine was green.

1980 Chevy Citation (Mine was beige. Drove it just after my mission)

1983 Saab 900 Had 300k on the odometer before I sold it. Great car.

1999 Olds Alero Rolled it in a weather related acccident coming back from the MWC bball tourney. Mine was blue.

1997 Saab 900 SE Mine is silver Bought it after I wrecked the Olds because I missed my old Saab.

First was 69 F100. No power steering, brakes, nuthin. 3 speed manual, 360 V8. It was fun to drive and work on. My dad bought it new in 1969, sold it about 2 years ago. Pretty much exactly like this one except more of a mint green color.

1977 Toyota Celica. Biggest piece of shit ever. I swear this picture may be the one I owned, same oxidized blue paint job. Death trap in the snow. It had an 8 track player so I went to DI and bought my one and only 8 track - Boston's debut album.

                College Car - 89 Sentra.

1989 Bronco. Mine was black, no lift but oversized tires. Looked good, great off road. Money pit, but I loved it - wish I hadn't sold it. Redneck skank chicks loved me in this, always hitting on me at the gas station and what not.

Beater truck. 93 Chev. It works and it's great to have a pickup when I need it.

Current car - 98 Civic. Bought it new - it's been a good car, but I hate it. It's gutless. The only thing I hate more is spending money, so it may have to die before I get rid of it. Next up: probably a Dodge Ram 1500.

                  My Turn!
1984 white Cadillac Cimarron with 2.8L V6. Was a fun car to drive. Based on the Chevy Cavalier. I think it was the smallest Caddy they ever made and at the time the only model to have a manual (is that right? I don't know Cadillacs very well). My dad commuted in it for 11 years until the kids started driving. I drove it all through high school.

By the time I returned from my mission, it only had compression in 5 (maybe 4) cylinders and had a bunch of electrical problems. I took it to Baltimore when I sold security systems for a summer and got a lot of funny looks from the locals (funny-sounding dying car + 5 white occupants + predominantly black neighborhood = comedy).

It was sweet and ahead of its time. LED digital display, good stock stereo, and fun to drive. After Baltimore (it barely made the drive back to Idaho) she was decommissioned. The funny thing is that after 20 years it only had like 90,000 miles. Except for living in Maryland for a summer, it probably never left town.

This is exactly what it looked like:

After my mission, I got to borrow a series of cars from my parents until I got married:
                  Mid-nineties blue Silverado.

2000-ish white Chevy S-10 ZR-2 (did not have boat).

                  2000-ish black Toyota Rav4.

                  Now I drive:
                  2002 white Toyota Corolla.

                  My wife drives:
                  2005 Gray Toyota Sienna.

                  My future car:
Mid-90s Ford Escort Cosworth. Very lightweight, very high-boosted (something like 28 psi) Cosworth-tuned engine, AWD with limited slip, etc. rally car. Extremely fun, and by far the fastest car I've ever been in.

Thanks, all, for the replies. I especially like the "first" cars. That's quite a motley collection.

creekster - love the old sciroccos. I remember a YM leader of mine in the mid-80's that had one, and we all thought it was very cool. Especially those leather Recaros.

                        Trip down memory lane

1978 Ford Granada - I bought this car when I was 14. My parents were broke and I had cash and they needed a car. I loved this thing. Interior falling apart..backfired on command. Sweet. Mine was burgondy though.

1989 Dodge Dakota - Mine was white. This truck was fun. Lots of memories that I am not supposed to remember anymore.

1993 Jeep Cherokee - My wife used our 8 day old daughter as a bargaining tool. She got the price of this thing down from 18k to 12.5. She is a hard woman. Our first car married. Ours was White.

2004 Honda Civic - Loved this car. Our first lease. My daughter was getting older though and it just wouldn't get all of her friends to the dances... Ours was BYU blue

2006 Toyota Tundra 2WD - Current ride. This is the actual truck in the driveway. I love this thing. I always think about upgrading to the new one but this thing only has 33k on it...so she is a keeper for a while.

2007 Honda Pilot - The is the wife's current ride. We love this thing. DDD has even seen it and approves. The color on ours is a BYU blue color.

I noticed we have a LOT of trucks on CUF. My wife had a 95 Nissan Pickup when we were dating. We kept it and used it as a 3rd car. It was awesome....it is critical that people have access to a truck, esp when you don't care if the truck gets scratched, dented, etc. Haul stuff...help people move...pick up your Christmas tree, throw boards in the back, etc...we had ours until recently, when I woke up or came home one day and the truck was gone. My wife decided to sell it and it was gone.

My first car was Senior year in HS. A blue 66 Mustang. Looked almost identical to this one. The really unique thing about my Mustang was that it was a stick shift. 3 speed (yes!) plus reverse. And you could see straight through the gearbox to the street below. It was a mean machine.

In college, I had 2 cars....I briefly drove this Chevy Van...aka "The Stabbin Cabin." Looked like this except it was blue. Sweet...shagged out, swivel upholstered seats, upholstered ceiling, back bench folded down into a bed....rowrrr! Eventually died in the snow. RIP Stabbin' Cabin.

I soon graduated to my main college car. A 1994 Toyota Tercel. It was this exact color. In fact, the car looked exactly like this. And it was a base model, so there were zero upgrades. No defrost, no A/C, no power windows or locks, no radio, no passenger side rear-view mirror, nothing. I put in a CD player with clock, but summers in Utah were brutal. It definitely got me out of driving places during the hot months.

                          Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

First car came when I was 16.

A 1997 Hyundai AccentThis exact color, I told everyone it was silver but it was really pink/silver/purple one of those ones that looks different colors from different angles. After burning through 3 trannys. I got rid of it.

1998 Plymouth Breeze, it was this same dark green color. I had this from when I was 17 until about 4 years ago. (I am only 28 so not really that long) The engine blew but it still barely ran. Some hispanic guy bought it for $500.

1998 Dodge Durango Black. Bought this in 2001, and still own it today. Has 150k miles still going strong (granted I have put in a new tranny, two rear ends, fuel pump, water pump, radiator and various other things. Drove it to work today in -5 degree weather and the heater does not work.)

1998 Honda Civic This is what my my wife drives. We have never had a car made in the 2000s. This car we bought in 2002, it has 165k miles and has never had any major problems. I love this car. (ours is identical to this, same color, wheels etc)
