  • Twilight, the Unmarrieds and the Undead

Apparently the Manhattan singles wards sponsor an annual videos contest called the Lingos (they tried to call and get permission to use the name, but eponymous callee doesn't return calls or e-mails of those with whom he does not wish to associate). This was one of the winners. My daughter tells me the Duck Beach reference relates to an annual weekend in North Carolina where a couple of hundred NYC LDS singles gather.

Yes as well as the DC singles and all over New England. I've been invited a few times thanks to friends in Boston. There is a row of large rental homes that line the beach, that they reserve year after year. Although the rental agreements state no more than 2 people per bedroom (i.e. no more than 10 people max sharing a 5 bedroom home), people sleep on the sofas, bring air mattresses, double the occupancy to keep costs down.

Even east coast mormons are cheap.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Hey when the prophet says to be frugal, that justifies a breach of contract.
