We ordered a bunch of pizzas for lunch, and they arrived on time but they got the order wrong. So they are sending out the correct order now; do we tip the driver a second time? (They screwed up but it's not the driver's fault)

I always err on the side of being nice and generous with service people. The pizza drivers at the place I regularly use are the same as they were six or eight months ago, and they will remember. I think Soup is right - yell at management and get a discount, then apply the discount towards the second tip. Zero sum game for you, driver is happy, and the people who screwed up pay for it all.Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.Comment

I delivered pizza for six years. I would tip the guy because it's not his fault; I would call the restaurant and ask for some consideration on your next order. It's real gas and real time that the driver is putting into bringing the pizza.

My friends in high school worked at Arbys. They admitted to spitting on the grill (not sure how many times). Also, they took some trays, put them under their car tires, and then burned out, causing the trays to go flying.
I once worked at a bakery in HS and I sliced open an unbaked baguette, hid a small pickle inside, then closed it up and baked it. We sold it that way. Someone went home, opened their baguette, and there was a pickle inside. I was 14 at the time and was angry that I was illegally being made to operate baking ovens.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

When I worked at Taco Bell throughout high school, we used to put the trays under the back tires of my buddy's car. It was front wheel drive, so the trays wouldn't fly out. I was out of college, married, and had a job when a friend came in town for a trade show. He stayed with us and my wife was working the evening shift, so we decided to order out pizza. I went to the store to get some drinks and he agreed to pay the pizza guy. I came back and he's talking about how put-out and rude the pizza guy had been. I asked what happened and he said he was 40 cents short on the cost of the pizza and "you would think the guy wouldn't get so bent out of shape over 40 cents."Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
