If you are krill humpbacks look pretty predatory I would imagine.

yeah, in that sense, I guess every living mammal is a predator. I meant more along the lines of pack hunting and an occasional eating of something that is equivalent on the food chain.

Don't hump backs basically swim along, open their mouths and just swallow a bunch of fish? maybe every once in awhile they hit something with a fin?

I thought orcas are the only traditional "predator" in the whale family...whereas sharks have several varieties that are predatory.

Untwist your knickers, my firend. I was just making a not very important little point about perspective. You are very knowledgeable and I do not mean to challenge your position atop the marine mammal knowledge food chain. In the sense you are describing it, I agree that Humpbacks are not predatory. I will try to refrain from making any more stupid jokes.

I actually provided my marine CV as a means of self-deprecation. I think our tour guide was some 19 year old kid.

I think we can both agree that whales are fascinating and perhaps may deserve their own thread one day.

If you think about it (and don't think too hard), any whale could be a humpback whale, and they would all be predatory... sort of like my neighbor's predatory humpleg dog.

SUre, we can agree, but why doesn't anyone ever consider how the Krill feel about this?

This is the second time you have mentioned krill. Please stop threadjacking this crossword puzzle discussion!
