I realize that JL is many people's favorite whipping boy. I'm not hear to say what is or isn't deserved. I just think we all need appreciate his linguistic gifts and his pretty feathers.

This better not show up in the list of DDD's greatest hits. He's a hack!

                Two things:

                1. Where is this list of DDD's Greatest Hits posted? I'd like to contribute.
                2. If you're going to call him a hack from your CB post, then you'll acknowledge your debt to this as a category on Win Ben Stein's Money ca. 1999.

                  1.

                  2. You know, you're absolutely right. I do remember "cunning linguist" from Ben Stein. BUT, I was the first to start referring to JL as Cunning Lingo. So, I kind of took Ben Stein's thing and, as Paula Abdul would say, "made it my own."

The funny thing about this one is that the subject matter is CatBlue, and CatBlue starts out the thread with "The only rational reaction to..."

How long has he been telling people that there is only one rational way to think about something? Speaks volumes...
