PAC doesn't detest it. And we know LA Ute's love for the Electric Parade. Looks like you're alone amongst the west coast middle aged partner group.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Yes. My wife and I always hated Disneyland. But when our kids were young we would "take one for the team" and visit occasionally. We typically would mix a few days at the beach with our SoCal theme park excursions. One time on the way back home, the kids said "Mom and Dad, it's OK if we never go back to Disneyland. Let's just do the beach next time." That was a happy day.

I don't go often enough to detest it. It's hard to detest something that makes my kids that happy and excited. They still talk about it all the time 3 years after being there.

Kids are out of school the week after next so we're planning on heading to Disneyland for the week (Tues-Saturday). Kids are age 8, 5, and 3. They've loved Seaworld in the past so we'll probably head there for a day. I'd also like to take them to see some tidepools. But other than those two things, it's probably Disneyland the whole time (unless there are some other great suggestions). We haven't booked anything or bought any tickets. Any suggestions on where to stay? How to do it cheaply? Deals on Disneyland tickets? Other suggestions to visit?

My mother's sister and her family are Disney freaks. My cousin especially. Memorabilia everywhere. They take Disney cruises every year. They visit the Magic Kingdom as much as possible. Their fanaticism is mind boggling if not disturbing on many levels.

Disneyland is cool. We went here and there growing up. But I lived in the shadow of Colossus at Magic Mountain and always had a season pass there. I'd rather ride coasters than take pics with interns suffering from heatstroke inside costumes.

                          Favor to ask...
Would any of you SoCal folks (or really, CA, I think) be willing to buy me a few 3-day Park hopper passes and I could send you money by either paypal or mail or whatever? I'm reading that you can buy them for $99 at Von's or Albertson's if you're a CA resident.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

That was cool. I went to Disneyland exactly once growing up. I was five. I remember the Skyway, Monorail, Matterhorn, submarine ride, and Dumbo. My next trip was also my wife's first, and our three kids were three, five, and seven. It was great to have them enjoy the magic of it. We've gone quite a bit since then. It was quite cheap, relatively speaking, during the economic downturn, especially since I get Disney tickets roughly half-off.
