    A low blow.

What is appealing about Overland Park? I don't find much to like about Kansas beyond the home prices.

My brother loved it. He got his master as KU and said that if he could talk his wife into it he would retire in the Lawerence area.

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

In general, I didn't care for the Midwest, but I really liked the little college towns scattered about. I'd live in South Bend, Ann Arbor, Bloomington, etc. I imagine that Lawrence may be somewhat similar.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

            • Okay here's the tally.

I included only the first three answers from each person, and combined multiples into one answer for example Lebowski had three Provos and mpfunk had two Portlands.

Total 140 answers, and 117 were unique.

108 in the US (+4 Canada)
              19 Europe
              3 Asia
              3 Central America
              2 Africa
              1 Middle East

US states with 3 or more:
              31 Utah
              16 California
              8 Washington
              5 Idaho
              4 New York
              4 Oregon
              4 Texas
              3 North Carolina
              3 Washington DC
              3 Wyoming

US Metro areas with 3 or more:
              23 SLC/Provo
              8 LA/OC
              7 Seattle/Olympia
              5 Washington DC/Baltimore
              4 Bay Area
              4 NYC/Newark
              3 Dallas
              3 Portland

European countries with 2 or more:
              3 Austria
              3 Belgium
              3 France
              2 Germany
              2 Italy
              2 Spain

Brussels was the only European city/metro area named more than once.
Only 7 of the world's 100 largest cities were named.
