Good sleuthing JL. One of those has to be the reason.

I bet this was his number one reason for moving there.

More likely to be a reason to stay.

Meh. He'd be better off moving and then making up stories like this if all he wanted to do was post stories on CUF.

Which might be the case, actually. As far as I know, Robin lives in Malawi.

OK...I give up. JL 2.0 is just as bad as 1.0. Maybe worse.

                You're an idiot.

I think his idiocy deserves a non-<redacted> modifier.

JohnnyLingo, go away from CUF. CUF would be better off without your stupid ass posting obtuse comments in every thread.

"Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

Yet another thread hijacked and then destroyed by JL. Sometimes idiocy can turn into pure genius in an unintended way. JL doesn't want to destroy threads but his retarded jedi mind tricks are extremely effective at doing just that. If it was intentional he would just about be the most brilliant troll on the internet.

JL is now in ExUte territory, he should not be engaged. He's an idiot, asshole and has a persecution complex.

Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

                        A little tidbit for everyone...
Over the last few years that I was in in Michigan, we were seeing a lot more of this shot-in-the-leg stuff and a lot fewer fatalities. Word on the street was that no, gangbangers' aims weren't getting worse, it was just thought to be more humiliating or demeaning to injure or maim someone than kill them.

Just thought I'd throw that out to keep up my street cred.

That right there? That is funny. Well done, CMBF. But I thought we'd established I'm merely socially inept, not intellectually deficient or mean.

I think you all are waaay too sensitive. Robin posts about a shooting in his neighborhood (not the first one he's mentioned, by the way). A few people tell Robin he should probably move. I point out that Robin knows the risks inherent in his neighborhood and such exhortations won't get him to move. As such, there are probably other reasons he is choosing to stay.

                          And the world ends.

I love this characterization, which completely ignores both the idiotic implication that the only reason he lives there is to have stories to tell on here and that he's likely making it all up anyway.

This is why v2.0 is so annoying. It's just v1.0 with a smarmy exterior.

Bzzzzt. I said it is possible that this is the case. Much, much different, and not offensive. You're freaking out over nothing.

No, the difference is, it's socially acceptable to follow-up his assertion that he'll hopefully move to a safer neighborhood soon with a reaffirmation of this sentiment, "Move, man." You do not follow suit. You say/suggest that he likes living there precisely because this kind of thing happens. You're essentially accusing him of putting his family at risk on purpose, or at least that's the common interpretation of what any REASONABLE person would see as your insinuation.

People call you on this, and you cannot seem to grasp why no one thinks your assertion was even remotely appropriate.

This comment was free from personal insults; it will be the last one.
