My bad. I guess it is more acceptable to just outright assume that people are ashamed of what they posted in there.

Maybe, in the spirit of truth and reconciliation, people could admit to things they regret posting and we can put all of this ugly business behind us.

You make the mistake of assuming that there are regrets instead of there being a sense of people having had their privacy violated. I was never on CG, so this doesn't include me....but, you're making assumptions that are supported by anything other than the selfsame assumptions.

I'm quite glad that I was never involved with CG, because the concept of the crypt sounds downright childish. If you had to pay to get in, no problem. To be voted in is straight up stupid. Kinda reminds me of voting for cheerleader tryouts.

Right. As neither of us have any idea what is in the Crypt, it is useless for us to speculate about why those who do would want to keep its contents secret. I'm waiting for someone in the know to chime in.

Now that I think about it, you might be right. When I first posted here, people made reference to my 30 day ban from CB (which was revoked because of how stupid it was). There were no threads on either board. So, people found out by CB BM, CB friends posts, CUF PM, or a private CUF forum.

Well if one started posting with the expectation that CUF represents something significantly more mature than their High School experience they would no doubt experience a disillusionment of sort at some point.

I'd have thought that somebody who left the board kicking and screaming because his personal information was being put up for the world to see would have been able to appreciate the desire for privacy.

Thank you for being upfront about this. I honestly had no idea such a forum existed, but that is probably more due to the fact that I wasn't looking for one.

If this desire to keep the contents of the Crypt a secret is 100% due to a desire for privacy, then by all means, keep it secret.

But if people would be embarrassed about their actions within the Crypt as it applied to other posters, it might help them to get it out in the open.
