I will probably live to regret sharing this opinion but:

      Win: SU

      The Field: Fail

Here is the deal, RoseBud. Most contestants focused almost exclusively on mimicking SU's writing style. This is kind of like doing a replica of the Mona Lisa. Technically impressive, but ultimately doomed to be seen as a fake. YOhio and I went with a different strategy, opting for irony/caricature. That in and of itself is a tribute to SU, given that he is such a fan of irony. Of course, it also lets us poke fun at SU - a cheap but effective way to win votes.

The entry by Babs also contained a nice dash of irony and humor, but I suspect she got some sympathy votes (she's still grieving from the Red River Rivalry loss).

As opposed to the brown-nosers wanting to get in good with the board admin. I tell you, I don't know what this board is coming to.

And besides, I'm the only one of the three with enough balls to submit a single entry and leave it at that. Speaks volumes.

I recuse myself from the competition. I liked Wuap's the best and appoint him in my stead.

I'll leave it to Tim, SeattleUte, and/or, TripletDaddy to explain my entry. It was purposeful, and I dropped tons of hints about what I was doing. The nature of authorship is tricky. I didn't want to win this competition, in order to demonstrate my point.

lol. And *I'm* the one who can't get over the RRR?

Hang in there, JL: it's tough to play little brother, but I'm sure you'll win the conference one of these days.

Wow, this thing is really heating up.

Can you imagine what we would be doing if AA had put the stakes at TWO dollars?
