For the last while (months, but not sure how many), embedded tweets have shown up just as "embedded tweet" instead of the tweet itself. Not sure what happened. Thoughts anyone?

It's been that way for a long time. I think may be either browser version related or browser privacy settings related.Comment

I can see the embedded tweets on my personal devices, but just the link on my work laptop. So I agree with BFM that is is likely device, browser, or settings related.Comment

It could also be whether you have authenticated with Twitter or X.com in the past on a device and have the Twitter vs X.com cookies. You could try trashing cookies for both domains, log into Twitter in the browser (not app) and then see if that makes a difference if you can see the embedded tweet or just the link.Comment
