The official count is posted in the message board statistics below. That is what is officially announced to the public. And of course deleted posts don't count just as forfeited NCAA wins don't count.

Sorry, I'll wait for the EC to weigh in.

Exactly. You may not realize it, but we typically delete dozens of spam posts every day. I'll be darned if that garbage ends up in the official post count.

That being said, it might be tough to determine who makes the magical post when the time comes.

I say that you reinstate, for one day, Robin Finderson or Viking or one of those other banished guys who used to liven up the joint so that they can make the millionth post. Kind of like when you have Karl Malone sign a one-day contract with the Jazz again just before he retires and rides off into the sunset.

              That's a horrible analogy!

Oh, come on! One more witty repartee with one of those guys for old times' sake? That's like the Stockton to Malone pick and roll!

What, ya gonna ban me now too, Lebowski? If so, do it quick and then you can reinstate me in time for me to make the millionth post.

Harry, if you want a more fitting NBA analogy, the only one I can think of at the moment would be one of Dennis Rodman's off-the-court stunts.

Triplet has a way with these things, I remember when he dropped that open mailbox as the 12,000 post in the B12 thread. (Prior to people deleting their posts)

Let's just ask him what he wants, that would be easier than a gift receipt.
