I don't like the new default smilies (the first ten or so). By making them more three-dimensional they have removed much of the detail. I am considering changing them back to the 3.x style. Anyone have an opinion on this?

I feel pretty strongly that the 4.x style is really much better and more closely approximates how I actually feel when I use one.

No plans now to tweak it. The vast majority of our mobile users access via Tapatalk.

I checked and the mobile version is not easily altered

Yes, it puts an underline below the link when you roll over with the mouse pointer but the color is still hard to tell from the default text color unlike the vB4 Default Style. Maybe I am going color blind or something.

Another item I noticed. When you click on "More" for smilies, the :whatever: text is not visible unless you highlight it.

I worked on this one for about an hour and couldn't fix it. GRRR....
