Make sure your plug ins are for the current version. I had a few problems if they weren't specific to 4.2

I'm having trouble with the advanced search features. I use to be able to put in the name of the thread author, whatever keyword I remembered in the title, and which forum it was. That doesn't seem to be working for some reason. Anyone else having this problem?

Yes search isn't working at all for me. Though the suggested username feature is working. But any query I submit just says results not found.

I've taken the opportunity of this software upgrade to also up grade my avatar and quotes. If we all mixed it up a little it might be a nice change.

It's still all screwed up. When you're editing a post illusory repeat phrases appear in the text you're editing. When you post the doubling effect vanishes and you're missing words.

Hmmm... I can't replicate that. Works fine for me.

Sounds like user error. Don't you have a new world to corrupt, patterned after an old one?

With the new update do we no longer have inbox maximums? I am no longer getting a message that I need to delete some of the 750 sent (with out replies) messages proclaiming my love for landpoke.

Lovin the new layout and the site looks good. I am getting used to it and have found the dropdown box and the bottom of each page where I can click and take me back to the main front page or wherever I want.. Getting used to posting in this new format as well. No "Preview" unless you click on "Go Advance" and then you see your post and can preview it from there.

This is precisely why I procrastinated this upgrade for 3.5 years. That was a major PITA. Somehow the database got corrupted so they had to go through table by table and fix it. They started at 2 am last night and just finished a few minutes ago. Sorry for the aggravation. I think we are finally done.

Have these people never heard of backups?

JL, thanks for going through the hassle of the upgrade. I'm happy that we can now link videos besides just YouTube. Could you make a modification so that it replaces all of Art Vandelay's posts with this image?

I don't think that would be appropriate, IMO. Art V is a valued contributor here.

Thanks for the hard work and perseverance, Duderino. Is it possible to alter the color scheme to provide a little more contrast? Everything looks washed out. Is that something I can personalize on my own?

I'm sure he could but we'd have to be offline for like three more days.
