Threads getting to big for me

Don't know if it is chrome or what it is, but at some point, threads become so long and have so many responses that I can no longer open them. Has anyone experienced this before?

I have had it happen in the past and had just avoided those threads, but it happened today with the The Big 12 expansion groundswell thread. If I click on it is just opens up a blank page. It looks like somewhere over 5,800 replies I can't read them anymore.

I just checked and the same thing happens in Firefox. Not sure what to do.

I have thread display mode as Hybrid and the number of posts set at 40.

I'll try adjusting the the number of posts and see if that changes anything.

You could also try turning off the hybrid option and see if that helps.

Switch back to hybrid and try it again. I changed a setting.

Didn't fix it, but no worries. As long as the BY makes it to the the BIG12 I'll be happy.
