  • Bonjour!

I'm Soccermom. I am rather shy (with respect to posting on internet message boards), but thought I would give this new forum a try. A few friends have told me I will like it.

I'm a huge BYU football and Brett Favre fan, although seeing Favre in a Jets jersey is kind of depressing.

I'm a liberal conservative, if there can be such a person. I am currently a full time mom of 4 headstrong children and I confess that yes, I got caught up in the vampire porn and read all 4 of the Twilight books. I am currently reading Dracula to balance out the loss and/or wasted brain cells spent reading those books.

Other than that, not much I can say. I like the looks of this new forum and think it is much more appealing to shy people like me than other places.

Zut alors! Soccermom is in the chateau!

Bienvenue and an early Joyuex Noel to vouz.

If you want to talk Twilight, Pelagius is your man. In fact, he has actually reviewed them extensively and will be traveling to Forks for the world premiere.

Twilight did someone say Twilight ... Let's discuss.

            DDD,

I'm not headed up to Forks, but my wife and I and our three girls will probably go see it opening day (Thanksgiving, right?).

Ah, perdone mois s'il vous plais.

I speak so many langauges that often I fade in and out without noticing.

Unlike Requiem, Soccermom is the real deal. She speaks the Language of Love.

I don't know and don't want to know. I'm going to see Quantum of Solace and Daniel Craig's new wardrobe.

Actually, the reason I am considering the Dartmouth offer is because of Twilight. Otherwise, I wouldn't give it a second thought.

Please do NOT accept that offer. At least not until after football season.

Dartmouth is lame in the fall. nobody wants to be there. Colombus is way cooler.

I checked .. I have never bought tickets before so I can only get a half season. So there is only a 50% chance I would end up with SC tickets.

If you go Thanksgiving Day, you'll be a week late, Brother P.

My wife already has a hot date for Friday night this week. She had wanted to go to the midnight showing on Thursday with a couple of my employees, but unfortunately they have to work the next day. So it'll have to wait until Friday. But you had better believe they already have their tickets.

                          Eh bien, welcome.

I really enjoyed Brahm Stokers Dracula. I also liked "The Historian", which is only a few years old, thought it was good as well.

Hmm ... I think a similar thing is being planned by the ladies of my house but they just haven't revealed the details (like the date) to me yet.

This is true. My 16 YO daughter just about melted down last night when it appeared she might not get to go with her friends to the 12:05 a.m. showing of twilight this firday morning. All her friends had purchased tickets on Fandango but by time she was allowed to do so (afer homework) they were ALL SOLD OUT. This was a tragedy of epic proportions. Happily, the local theatres ahd forseen this problem and began to add showings to accomodate demand. As a result, she and a couple of others are now set to go at 12:10, although she is plenty miffed that she will ahve to wait an extra 5 minutes to see edward and naomi or whoever they are. I am not exaggerating abtou this, either. We nearly had a DISASTER in our home last night. This was SERIOUS. And it was all MY fault becasue I wouldn't let her buy a ticket earlier.
