  • I Hate You, "Mark Forums Read"

Is there a way to disable that thing on each account. Also, how many of you use it?

Every now and then I will accidentally click it and POW, all the bolded new threads disappear into a sea of already-read threads.

The iPad has upped the frequency of this horrible occurrence. My pudgy finger accidentally clicks it.

This is like coming downstairs to find that all your Christmas presents have been opened for you already. please disable it! Oh please!

If you use the tap-a-talk app you can view the most recent threads, unread or all. That is the way I usually roll. That way even if you mark all forums read, you still see in recency the newest posts.

I'll bet an easy way to undo the effects of the dreaded "Mark Forums Read" button is to clear the history and cache, or at least the cookies of your browser.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

I have done that a time or two myself, DDD. I am not sure how to turn it off, but I can do some digging.

I assume you are using the mobile template, correct?

I doubt that's true--which forums you have read is connected to your user profile, not your cookies (I think).

I don't think so. On the iPad thing it is basically a normal web browser. It is the same as my desktop.

No need to go to any trouble. I was just frustrated and wanted to vent. I am curious whether people use it, though

Maybe we could just move the button lower. Switch places with "Your Profile" or something. I have done this so many times too. Drives me crazy. It would be no big deal if I accidentally clicked "Your Profile" instead of "Today's Posts."
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

I use "Mark Forums Read" all the time. It would be nice to have that as a user profile option whether or not you want that feature enabled, but I wouldn't like to see the option removed altogether.

You could have found an easier way to brag about getting a new iPad.

I've come to realize that I think highly of myself because every time I see mention of iPad on this site, I think it's about me.

oh. Here I thought he spent most of July having microderm, trying to get all that egg yolk removed.

Robert Woods has your attention. That is good.

BTW, I have no clue who the Oregon receivers are. Speaks volumes.

Triplet, honey, this kind of repetitive, monotonous trolling hints of desperation and is used to be very beneath you.
