  • Site Maintenance

I'll be rebuilding the Style templates today to try to fix the broken vBulletin 5 default style. When I do the rebuild it puts some load on the server. The site will still be online but you may see some 503 errors. If so, just retry.

Overall the load today is a little less compared to Friday a week ago, and the faults (times when we hit our limits) are fewer, but the site is still under very heavy load so there is still work to do:

Definitely seems to be loading faster at the moment.

I did notice that it had been slow lately. Makes sense with the 20 of us making 3-10 posts per day.

I’ve been puzzling over how the site could be overloaded.

We maxed out CPU and RAM about 30 minutes ago. We actually max CPU regularly but we don't usually hit the RAM limits. I suspect we're getting spidered by something that is processing a lot of historical posts.

I truncated the cache tables and we'll see if that helps.

                Thanks! I got a 503? error earlier.

I think mine was a 505, so please prioritize that one above Pelado's

If you got a 505, you really need to update your browser!

Am I the only one who is getting funky results from the "New Topics" button? I still get a list of threads with new posts (and I assume it is comprehensive), but they are not bolded and do not have the little button by the thread title that takes me to where I most recently left off. Also, as I go through the threads, they will randomly disappear or reappear in the list, even if no new posts have been added.
