Currently shows Google spider and Yahoo! Slurp Spider. Can't say that I have seen that before.

I recently turned on an option that identifies web bots. Although I am sure that many still marked as "Guest" are in fact web bots also.

Wow! The total number of bots that hang out here is pretty amazing. Ask Jeeves is really interested in our little community.

Are we just growing in popularity or do we have something that makes us especially inviting to guests?

It seems like for the last week or so there are always 50+ guests online.

Two dozen of them are bots. Two dozen of them are members that are browsing from their phones without logging in. And then there's Arch and Lingo. That makes 50.

I wasn't even aware Ask Jeeves was still around, yet there are 15 Ask Jeeves' Search Bots online right now.

It also Appears that Ask Jeeves is really interested in cycling.

I wonder if this is how Ask Jeeves finds so many specialty answers so quickly? They have bots that scour all corners of the web for answers.

One of the things I always find interesting is looking at what threads the bots are looking at. One of the computer people smarter than me might understand how they search for things. Sometimes they are looking at threads where the last response was 2+ years ago, is that all based on searching for things that might match search engine searches?

How can you see what the bots are reading?

Right now there are 37 members, 180 guests on here.
