I recently turned on an option that identifies web bots. Although I am sure that many still marked as "Guest" are in fact web bots also.Originally posted by Jarid in Cedar View PostCurrently shows Google spider and Yahoo! Slurp Spider. Wow! The total number of bots that hang out here is pretty amazing. Ask Jeeves is really interested in our little community.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostI recently turned on an option that identifies web bots. Two dozen of them are bots. Two dozen of them are members that are browsing from their phones without logging in. And then there's Arch and Lingo. That makes 50.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostAre we just growing in popularity or do we have something that makes us especially inviting to guests?
It seems like for the last week or so there are always 50 guests online.

One of the things I always find interesting is looking at what threads the bots are looking at. One of the computer people smarter than me might understand how they search for things. Sometimes they are looking at threads where the last response was 2+ years ago, is that all based on searching for things that might match search engine searches?Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostI wasn't even aware Ask Jeeves was still around, yet there are 15 Ask Jeeves' Search Bots online right now.Get confident, stupid
