Surely you can discern the difference betweenm aking fun of a personal characerisitic and making fun of posts on the basis of their apparent redundancy?

Of course I was making fun of wuap's weight. It was funny. I maintain that if it had been junkie or Triplet who had posted the .gif file it would have been well received as clever and humorous. Wuap himself didn't take great offense to it.

I just have a hard time seeing what is serious business on the board sometimes. The vast majority of the time it's sunshine and cotton candy, and any insults are jokes and not to be taken seriously. See: the responses to Rosebud's initial post in this thread.

But every once in a while, someone steps on the third rail and the board society recoils in horror.

I don't want a response to this post... just venting.
