I just want you to know that I spoke up for you not getting suspended Johnny.

I also want you to know that when I subsequently found out you didn't take your punishment, whether the punishment was fair or not, like a man and you created a way to get around the system, I applauded the action to kick your ass off here for a while.

I know you like to know where I stand, so that is why I am letting you know. Glad you decided to return, still whining and crying I see, but glad to have you back anyway.

I am frustrated with your online persona, which I percieve to be one that is created to incite.
I don't feel like my persona was created to incite. I just enjoy poking at things that I have questions about and challenging the status quo. If that means I'm inciting, then so be it.

I at one point started a discussion that would have hopefully permanantly had you removed from the board. A few people agreed with me, a majority didn't. In fact, I believe everyone on the EC noted that they appreciated various POV's on the board even if I percieved them to be "inciteful and insincere".

You don't have to believe it, and I am sure that you wont, but you and Hallelujah are the two most protected posters on the board.
I hope you don't take this as an attack on you, but all this "In secret, everyone defends you!" stuff is getting kind of annoying.

Man, screw that. I defended you to your face in at least a couple of threads. I'm not willing to go look it up, but it's out there and I hope you remember it. The problem is you whine way too much and play the poor me card more than almost any person I have ever seen. BYU71 has spent tons of time defending you in all sorts of places. Your insistence that you are in a fight alone eventually will make it the truth. It's tiresome to always try to defend you against yourself.

Did I say absolutely no one ever defends me out here? No. 71 defends me (in his own, old person, way) and I do know a few people have stuck up for me here and there.

But I keep getting boardmails saying how, in the secret place, more people defend me than don't, and it gets annoying. That's all.

          Sheesh.

This encapsulated the entire problem you have with your board personna.
"The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

"They talk about the economy this year. Hey, my hairline is in recession, my waistline is in inflation. Altogether, I'm in a depression."

I am going to go out on a limb here and tell you that I think this whole thread and any related posts or discussion are tedious and tiresome. I don't care if you think your ban was unfair, or if you wanted more notice, or if you are annoyed that someone is defending you in the 'secret place' (whatever you mean by that). I don't care about your suspension and your gripes about it. I sincerely hope that no one, including you (hell, ESPECIALLY YOU) ever mentions it again. Not because it is embarrassing to the mods, or sensitive, or indefensible, but because it is BORING beyond belief and this topic is singlehandedly sucking the fun out of this place.

Huh. I guess we could have saved a lot of time if I'd just posted this a few years ago.

                And creek? Chill.

I would like to make it clear. I have never defended you, Lingo. I think you have reaped what you have sown. Have fun with it.

Look, I hoped I wouldn't have to spell this out, but since you insist...

71 makes fun of me for crying.

I make fun of his age.

We're both cool with it. There's nothing to see here, Jarid.

The fact that you think the problem is commenting on his age shows a clear lack of insight. You are right there is definitely nothing to see here.

I am not making fun of you for crying. I am saying, stop it. You have control to do so.

I am OK with making fun of my age, I can't control that. I myself find it humorous someone of my maturity and experience is hanging out here.

Here is a little hint though. By making lite of my defense of you, you are making light of the defense of you. If that doesn't make sense, perhpas Wuap can correct my English.

dammit '71. I was trying to see if he could figure that one out on his own. Now we will never know.
